Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Cinema ("we", "us", the "App") collects, why, and your choices. If you have questions, contact us at kingdaniel18000@gmail.com.

Cinema does not require an account. You can use the app without signing up, and we do not collect your name or email.

• Your name (optional). During setup you may enter a name to personalize the app. It is stored only on your device and is not sent to us.
• Your collection and saved titles. The titles you identify are stored on your device so your collection is available in the app. They are not uploaded to us.
• Clips you submit for identification. When you upload or share a video clip, that clip is sent to our identification service (including a third-party AI model) to recognize the title. Clips are used only to identify the title, are not linked to your identity, and are not used for advertising or sold to anyone.
• Subscription status. Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive your subscription status from Apple to unlock features. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Photos and videos

Cinema does not use your camera or microphone. You identify a title by uploading a video you choose, or by sharing a clip to Cinema from another app. Only the clip you pick is sent for identification — Cinema does not browse or access the rest of your photo library.

How we use information

• To provide the core feature — identifying titles from your clips.
• To provide and manage your subscription.
• To keep the service working and prevent abuse.

Third-party services

• Apple — subscription billing (App Store / StoreKit).
• Our backend provider — we use Supabase to run the identification service that processes your clips.
• TMDB — movie and TV metadata and images are provided via The Movie Database API. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Data retention & deletion

Your name and your collection are stored only on your device — deleting the app removes them. Clips are used only to identify a title and are not retained by us for any other purpose. Subscription records held by Apple are governed by Apple's policies. Questions? Email kingdaniel18000@gmail.com.

Children

Cinema is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us at kingdaniel18000@gmail.com and we'll respond as required by applicable law.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
